Yes, JaGEx has copyrighted the name MechScape in both the UK and US. In the UK trademark, they have also trademarked what we expect to be the MechScape Logo. It is then very unlikely for MechScape to be a hoax, as it wouldn't be very sensible to copyright anything on this scale. as a hoax.

There is absolutely no in-game screenshots anywhere, but some in-game models leaked out by some concept artists have surfaced and can be found on our gallery page.
The current MechScape logo has also surfaced in some Trademark applications. This can also be seen in the gallery.

We have reasons to believe that they are recruiting new staff to work on a new "undisclosed" game. JaGEx have a lot of jobs mentioning an "undisclosed" title on their Job Vacanies page on their Homepage
